NSWRL Metropolitan Referee Development Squad Announced

Congratulations to the following members who were selected in the NSWRL Metropolitan Referees Development squad, this squad officiates in a range of NSWRL Competitions including:

  • Harvey Norman Womens Premiership,

  • SG Ball Cup

  • Tarsha Gale Cup

  • Harold Matthews Cup

  • Lisa Fiaola Cup

  • U16s Development matches

  • NSWRL Regional Representative fixtures

To be selected in this squad you must be invited into the NSWRL Metropolitan Referees Development Train on squad, which brings in officials from all parts of Sydney and its surrounds. They enter an excruciating preseason where their physical fitness, their knowledge of the laws and many other facets are tested to see if they are good enough to officiate at this level.

This season we are excited to announce that Josh Williamson and James Fitzgerald have been selected into the squad for their first time. This is a huge achievement for Josh and James as they embark on the next steps of their career. We would also like to congratulate all our members who have been selected:
