Mitchell Robinson Becomes NSWRLRA Graded Member 1034
At NSWRL Junior Representative training last night, it was announced Association Member Mitchell Robinson had been promoted to the NSWRL High Performance squad and became the 1034th Member of the NSWRLRA.
This is a huge achievement and a massive reward for all the time and effort Mitchell has put in over a number of years within our Association. Mitchell joined our Association in 2011 and quickly became one of our leading junior referees on and off the field. Mitchell received the Michael Grady Junior Merit award in 2013 and was presented the Phil Sanders Memorial trophy in 2014 for refereeing the u15/1s Grand Final (the highest appointment in junior rugby league in Penrith).
Mitchell then continued to learn his trade and established himself as a Sunday referee. He we quickly climbed through the ranks and was invited to trial with the NSWRL Junior Reps squad at the end of the 2017 season.
Throughout the Covid years applying his trade and was appointed as the Associations top referee in the 2020 season, refereeing the u19/1s Grand Final as there was not A Grade competition that season. Mitchell is highly regarded by all of the members of our Association and this was confirmed when voted the Bob Kandelas Referees’ Referee by his fellow members, this award is highest honour a member can receive behind Life Membership.
