PENRITH REFEREES ARE COVID SAFE PREPARED 

To be allowed to return to play/training, the Board of Management needed to complete a Covid Safe plan. 

Some of the measures include, mandatory temperature checks, hand sanitising and attendance recording will occur prior to training and meetings. This will ensure any member who does not meet the set requirements will not be allowed to train or attend the a meeting and sent home. 

PLEASE REMEMBER IF YOU’RE SICK OR SHOWING SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19 STAY HOME, GET TESTED! 

Your main responsibilities are: 

Ensure you are aware of the Penrith Referees COVID 19 Safety plan and the requirements contained within the plan. 

Understand and act in accordance with the Association Safety Plan to ensure that the safety of all participants safety is the number one priority. 

Comply with Health Directions of the Government and Public Health Authorities at all times. Maintain social distancing of 1.5m when present outside the fields of play and while at the table. 

Monitor individual health, if showing signs of any Flu like symptoms such as a running nose, sore throat or respiratory problems to inform the COVID 19 Safety officer immediately. 

If a member is showing signs of COVID 19 to self-isolate at home, not attend any Penrith Referee activities. 

When showing symptoms is it highly recommended by the association to get COVID 19 tested. 

No touching of the match ball, this will become the responsibility of the home team to bring the ball out at the start of the game and also place it at halfway for the half time break. 

Coin toss to be conducted by referee ONLY, do not hand the coin over to a player to toss. 

Strictly no handshaking to take part between players, officials and any individual involved within the game. 

Every referee must bring their own drink bottle, towel, hygiene products and strictly no sharing with other officials. 

No spitting. 

Highly recommended each member carries a small hand-held sanitiser within their football bag. 

Referees are not to use the change room facilities. For the foreseeable future Referees may arrive to the ground dressed in their on field gear however your referee jersey and short’s must be covered by association tracksuit of Jumpers.
