MITCHELL ROBINSON GETS THE NOD AS TOP REFEREE

This Sunday marks the end of an interesting year and season for the Penrith Referees Association. In a year that included a global health pandemic, getting onto the field was not always going to happen. Luckily our match officials got to get on the field and get to do what they loved for a shortened season.

This Sunday will see Penrith Districts best run out onto Panthers stadium for an unforgettable day, although it will be different to previous Division 1 grand final days, it is sure to be a good one!

Mitchell Robinson has been appointed as referee to the under 19 division one fixture, which has been set as the main game as there is no A Grade fixtures this year. This appointment tops off a fantastic year for Mitchell, who made his SG Ball debut in the NSWRL Junior Representative competition at the start of this year. This also sees Mitchell get the number one senior appointment for the first time in his refereeing career. Mitchell began refereeing in 2011 and has come along way since his debut game as a referee. He has always showed perseverance and talent, it wasn’t a matter of if Mitchell would ever receive this appointment, it was when will he.

Congratulations Mitchell, we wish you the best of luck for your match on Sunday.
