SUPPORT FOR THE FARMERS

The Penrith Referees’ Association has recognised the plight of farmers across rural Australia by making a donation of $500.00 to the fundraising website www.buyabale.com.au 

Association Chairman Gary Haines said, “We are all aware of the current drought that is severely affecting rural Australia and having a major impact on the farmers, their families and their livelihood. If our donation helps in some small way to ease this burden, then it’s positive sign”. 

“The Board also decided to donate all the money raised through the raffles we are holding at the Penrith Junior League grand finals on Sunday 26 August to the farmers drought relief appeal. I have also asked the NSWRL Referees’ Association if other districts might also support this very worthy cause”.
